Canoeing

Smithville Landing offers canoe trips ranging from 1 hour to 9 days! We can accomodate your group whether you want to rent 1 canoe or 150 canoes! All of our customers are shuttled by van or bus depending on group size.

We are located on the beautiful Big Manistee River, 13 miles North of Lake City and 13 miles South of Kalkaska.

Reservations are recommended for all groups, but walk-ins are always welcome. We suggest that you reserve your canoes early as popular weekends fill up fast. We require a $20.00 reservation deposit per canoe, no refunds.

All canoeists are provided with a floatation device. Every guest must have one of these devices aboard their watercraft. Chidren 16 and under must wear a life preserver at all times!

Smithville Landing provides a 17ft Grumman canoe that along with it's equipment is inspected annually and registered by the State of Michigan.

No private canoes allowed in campgrounds!
